Disney Cruise Line Itineraries

Cabo San Lucas - Disney Cruise Line

Cabo San Lucas Overview

Cabo San Lucas, at the southern tip of Baja California, is the final stop on your Disney Cruise Line Mexican Riviera cruise aboard the Disney Wonder.  You’ll have to board a tender to head into the city, since cruise ships have to anchor offshore in the bay.  Once ashore, shops and restaurants are a quick walk from the pier.

Tendering in Cabo San Lucas

Cabo, the second largest city in the Mexican state of Baja California Sur, was a small fishing village until 1917 when an American company began tuna fishing offshore.  It wasn’t until the 1970s that Cabo became a major tourist destination, due to the completion of a major highway through the peninsula.

Cabo San Lucas

Water sports abound in Cabo San Lucas, with opportunities to swim with dolphins, go sport fishing, watch for whales, search for buried treasure, try snorkeling or even just enjoy the sun on Lover’s Beach.

WHALES09

For your shopping pleasure, Downtown Cabo San Lucas with its varied shops is just a short walk (or taxi ride) away.  If you’re only looking for a trinket (or a drink), just outside the tender pier is the Marina Mercado Arts & Crafts Market and the Cabo location for the infamous Señor Frog’s.

Cabo San Lucas

With everything so close in Cabo, it makes it very easy to get in an excursion AND spend some time shopping for the perfect souvenir from this popular resort town.
