Antigua Shore Excursions



Catamaran Sail, Snorkel, & Beach Cruise (3.5 hours)
Enjoy it all. This excursion starts with a 20-minute ride on a catamaran. You'll arrive at a spot off the northwest coast of Antigua for some prime snorkeling. After being instructed and getting your snorkel equipment, you can explore the beautiful waters for one hour. Your next destination is a partially secluded beach where you'll spend the final hour enjoying the sugar-sand, surf and sun. You'll enjoy an open bar as you party your way back to the ship.

Stingray Swim & Snorkel Adventure (3.5 hours)
An unforgettable stingray encounter awaits you. You'll begin with a scenic ride through Antigua's countryside to Seatons Village. From here you'll be taken on a 8-minute boat ride via an open skiff to Stingray Village. After disembarking onto a floating platform, a guide will provide snorkeling gear and instructions prior to your encounter with these gentle creatures. Upon entering the 4 foot deep water, you're welcome to touch, photograph and feed the stingrays under the supervision of your guide. Afterwards you can select a glass of fruit punch or rum before returning to the ship.

Off Road 4x4 Jeep Safari Adventure (3.5 - 4 hours)
Here's your oportunity to go off the beaten track and explore this beautiful island. Your guide will take you on your freewheeling adventure while providing fascinating insights into the history of Antigua. Traveling along dirt tracks, you'll find yourself at a new destination approximately every 30 minutes. You'll visit the lush oasis of Body Pond followed by a trip to Monks Hill where Fort George awaits you. From this vantage point you'll enjoy sweeping views of Falmouth and English Harbour. Your drive takes you through the Antigua rainforest with a stop to sample some of the island's tropical fruits. No doubt you'll want to recount your incredible journey while you're at your next destination, Antigua's sugar-sand beach. Be sure to bring your swimsuit, towel and sunscreen to fully enjoy all that awaits you.

Antigua Island Tour (4.5 hours)
Your scenic excursion begins with a 45 minute ride from St. John's Harbor to Shirley Heights and the 18th century Nelson's Dockyard. While here you'll stop at the Admiral's Inn for a tropical rum punch. Next you'll take a 30 minute journey along Fig Tree Drive to Claremont Farms on Carlisle Bay. Prepare for a treat as you're offered a taste of Antigua's prized Black Pineapples. While enjoying your succulent sample, your guide will talk about the farm's culture and history. Following this informative and tasty stop, you'll take a 45 minute ride back to the ship that takes you along the south and west coasts of Antigua. You'll enjoy outstanding views of the Caribbean Sea, Cades Barrier Reef and the highest elevation on Antigua; Boggy Peak.

Antigua Nature Hike (4 hours)
Experience the beauty of Antigua during this intimate exploration of the island. You'll embark on a 45 minute drive that takes you to the heart of Antigua; the Shekerley Mountains. This volcanic range has several peaks that are more than 1000 feet high. The only tropical forest on the island is found here. Previously, this area of Antigua was not open to the public. Now it's home to an extensive network of hiking trails that are yours to explore. Your first stop will be the Wallings Reservoir which was built by the British in the 1890's. From this starting point you'll hike through lush greenery that leads to mountain ridges offering sweeping views of the southern coast. Along the way your guide will describe the plant life and animals that call Antigua home. Once you leave the forest, you'll have a relaxing half hour at the beach to enjoy the sun and surf.

Antigua Seafari (4 - 4.5 hours)
Prepare to embark on Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBS) as you explore Antigua. You'll be taking this unique form of transportation for an hour's journey to the uninhabited islands of the North Sound which includes Bird Island. Here you'll learn about the mangrove ecosystem. Following is another hour long trip that takes you through Mercer's Creek and Devil's Bridge as you reach the eastern side of Antigua. You'll enjoy snorkeling and swimming at the deserted Green Island, or if you prefer, you can simply soak up the sun and relax on the beach. Next your RIBS will take you south to Nelson's Dockyard.

'Excellence' Power Cat Cruise & Snorkel (3 - 3.4 hours)
For the ultimate snorkeling experience, this excursion is the one to take. You'll board the 80-foot catamaran 'Excellence' for an exhilarating voyage to Cades Reef National Park. Your watercraft skims along at a rate of 20 knots for this 45 minute trip. After dropping anchor near the reef, your helpful guide will provide instructions for the snorkeling equipment prior to your exploration of this amazing ecosystem. This mile long reef is teeming with brightly hued corals, fish and a vast array of other forms of aquatic life. It's an unforgettable adventure. No doubt you'll have stories to share while enjoying the open bar enroute back to the ship.

Kayak & Snorkel Eco-Adventure (4.5 - 5 hours)
You'll enjoy a close look at the coastal mangrove ecosystem that Antigua is noted for. Your excursion begins with a 30 minute drive to the northeast coast which takes you to Seatons Village. Here you'll be met by your guides from the Kayak Adventure. After an introductory discussion of Antigua's ecosystem and what awaits you, you'll be taken via motorboat on a 10 minute trip to the kayak station. After a quick orientation, you'll be paired up and embark on your amazing adventure. As you glide along on your hour long voyage, you'll view marine life and shore birds. Your knowledgeable guide will happily answer any questions that you may have. The next phase of this excursion is a 30 minute powerboat ride to North Sound Marine Park. Here you can enjoy a nature walk as well as spend time on the beach and snorkel on Bird Island. Once enroute on your 30 minute trip back to the ship, you'll be treated to a glass of rum punch.

Golf at Cedar Valley ( 6 - 6.5 hours)
It's time to tee up at the Cedar Valley Golf Club for 18 holes of the best golfing on Antigua. Located just moments from St. John's, this competitive course is set amidst the lush greenery that this island paradise is noted for. At 6,100 yards and par 69, you'll be challenged as you play this idyllic course. If you don't have your clubs with you, a set can be rented for a nominal fee. This facility has a pro shop, bar, snack shop, changing room with showers and putting green.

Beach Adventure ( 5 - 5.5 hours)
Known for it's sugar sand beaches, Antigua is the perfect destination for those wanting to spend the day enjoying the sun, sand and surf. You'll be taken on a 25 minute ride to your beach destination. While enjoying your complimentary beverage, find a spot to sit, relax and soak up the sun. If more stimulating activities interest you, you can join in a game of beach volleyball or rent a paddleboat for a small fee. The kids will have a blast at their own play area. No doubt you'll work up an appetite just in time for the buffet lunch that's part of this excursion. You'll be glowing when you return to the ship after your day at the beach.

Private Island Snorkel Adventure (2.5 - 3 hours)
A scenic 5 minute cruise from Hodges Bay has you arriving at Prickly Pear Island. At this secluded location you'll be instructed in the use of the provided equipment and embark on an exploration of the colorful reefs. You'll be amazed at the varieties of tropical fish that call this idyllic setting home.
