Festival of the Arts Overview



The Festival of the Arts debuts in January 2017 at Epcot and will feature pieces from Disney historical artist Mary Blair and Herb Ryman art of Epcot, to current Disney artists Joe Kaminski and Costa Alavezos, guests won’t only be surrounded by incredible visions, they’ll watch the creative process live. New art will be created and revealed each weekend, so guests can look forward to a new experience every time they go.

In the inaugural year of the Epcot International Festival of the Arts, a collaboration with Disney Theatrical Productions will bring an exciting new showcase of favorite music and Broadway talent to the America Gardens Theatre stage. Performances will be at 5:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday through Monday of each festival weekend.

Over the six weekends of the festival, park Guests will enjoy different pairings of phenomenal Broadway talent in concert, performing songs from some of Disney on Broadway’s award-winning shows, including ‪The Lion King, Newsies, and Aladdin, to name a few.

New Food Studios will showcase culinary creations so delicious and intricate, guests may not know if the menus are for admiring or eating. Disney chefs will surely encourage guests it’s the latter. And there’s more: hands-on experiences for the whole family, favorite Disney characters channeling their favorite artists, seminars, and special merchandise created just for the festival. It’s a colorful, whimsical celebration of a new artful Epcot.

The festival is included with regular Epcot admission.

Interactive Workshops



Interactive workshops are available to book for $39 plus tax per person per workshop. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members will receive a 15% discount. Don’t just watch, participate! “Painting with a Disney Artist,” a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in a very special workshop in World Showcase, happens at 8 a.m. Fridays during the Festival. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never picked up a paintbrush or happen to be a pro, a Disney artist will guide you to create your own masterpiece. The morning starts with a light Continental breakfast, and capacity is limited. $259 plus tax and Epcot admission; call 407-WDW-TOUR.

Figment's Brush With the Masters Scavenger Hunt

The Festival of the Arts event will not just be for adults. Kids (and the young at heart) will enjoy “Figment’s Brush with the Masters Scavenger Hunt” around Epcot.

Can you find Figment? Slip into sleuth mode while searching for clues that lead to the elusive little dragon—leave no painting in the World Showcase unturned!


Disney on Broadway Concert Series
and Dining Package


Disney Theatrical will be including an array of favorite music and Broadway talent to showcase on the America Gardens Theatre stage each night of the event at 5:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m., and 8:00 p.m. These talented Broadway artists will perform music from some of our most favorite Disney on Broadway shows such as Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, Newsies, and Aladdin.

January 13-16 and 20-23, 2017: Ashley Brown and Josh Strickland will perform songs from: Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan, Mary Poppins and The Little Mermaid.


January 27-30 and February 3-6, 2017: Kerry Butler and Kevin Massey will perform songs from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan, Newsies and Aladdin.

February 10-13 and 17-20, 2017: Kissy Simmons and Alton Fitzgerald White will perform songs from Disney’s The Lion King, Aida, Aladdin and The Little Mermaid.
