On May 5, 2005, Disneyland began an 18-month celebration to commemorate its 50th Anniversary. Disneyland is ready for this once in a lifetime event that’s being billed as its biggest party ever. Sleeping Beauty’s Castle is more regal than ever before. The castle is all dressed up in colorful draping with royal banners atop the towers. Glistening jewels and crowns on the turrets complete the transformation making it the focal point of this celebration.

"Walt Disney's Parade of Dreams." Featuring one of the biggest casts of performers and Disney characters ever assembled for a Disney parade. It promises to be a spectacular musical event with dazzling floats and amazing new special effects.

“Remember Dreams Come True" The evening sky will come alive when the "Remember Dreams Come True" fireworks are displayed. Featuring the latest technology, these dazzling pyrotechnics will be the biggest and the most spectacular production that Disneyland has seen. Click Here for Photos

Golden Vehicles of Disneyland’ In honor if Disneyland’s 50 th Anniversary, Disneyland has added the ‘golden touch’ to one vehicle in each of the original Disneyland 1955 attractions. This is a great picture opportunity.

Disneyland’s ‘Happiest Faces on Earth’ As part of the 50 th Anniversary celebration, guest from all over the world have shared pictures of their memories of Disneyland. These pictures have been used in a collage that results in some amazing Disneyland images and landmarks.

"Disneyland – The First 50 Years” Another brand new offering will chronicle the history of Disneyland. Guests will have an opportunity to see artwork, designs and models that have never been on display before. The experience will be capped off by rare footage of the development of Disneyland. This film has not been viewed in over 45 years and will feature Walt Disney and how his dream became reality.

“Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters” New! Guests board their Star Cruiser and embark on a fun filled mission defending the universe from the evil Emperor Zurg. During their fanciful ride through the Cosmos, guests are armed with laser cannons, which can be blasted at wacky targets. Click Here for more info.

The much anticipated re-opening of Space Mountain on July 15 th will bring more than a fresh new look to this old favorite. With a new queue area and spaceports, newly designed rockets, an onboard soundtrack, and special effects.

Disney's California Adventure will also participate in this anniversary celebration. Beginning on May 25th, there will be five instant celebrations that will feature Mickey, Minnie, Lilo and Stitch, the Muppets, Flik and Princess Atta from "A Bug’s Life" and the lovable characters from "Monsters, Inc." Each party will have unique entertainment with disco, retro, rock and roll and surfer tunes providing the lively backdrop.

The "Block Party Bash" will have fun surprises that are certain to create a memorable experience. Join the ‘Pixar’ Characters for this party through the streets of Disney's California Adventure Park. Click Here for Photos
