We are always told to take time to notice the details when we are in the Disney parks. They enhance the visit. They are what put the magic in the memories and they are hidden in every corner. Hidden is the key word though. These details and experiences are easily overlooked.  And without a bit of background knowledge, you might never even recognize the gem right in front of you.

For families that want more than a series of lines and rides out of their vacation, we have created a challenge in the form of a checklist. As you go about your day in Disney California Adventure, check off as many items on the list as you can and photograph each accomplishment as evidence. Some of them take more time than others. A few may require a bit of cash. All of them work together to give you a quintessential experience of Disney California Adventure that you will always remember. On your mark. Get set. Go!

 1. ANIMATION EDUCATION

  • Item: Tucked away in the Disney Animation building is the Animation Academy. In there is a brief class that teaches beginners how to draw a Disney character. Take a seat and pick up a pencil. You might be surprised at the talent you discover.

2. SPOT THE MOUSE
