Which Disney parks around the world have you visited: Walt Disney World
Date of first Disney Trip: May 1991
# of Disney Trips: 25=
First Disney Attraction and reaction to it: Riding to the MK on the monorail I remember having tears in my eyes. I had dreamed a long time about the day I'd see the castle, not in a picture, but with my very own eyes.

Fav. Park and why:  The Magic Kingdom is all my Disney childhood memories come to life for me. I feel like I've stepped into a movie with my favorite characters when I'm there! I could never get tried looking at that castle! It truly is magical to me!

Fav. Attraction and why:  This is a toughie! As far as the really Disney feeling ones I love Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean and Splash Mountain, I love the thrill of Rock N
Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror. Kilimanjaro Safari is amazing they way the surroundings really make me feel like I'm on the savanna in Africa! I love being able to explore 11 countries in one day at Epcot! The flowers are gorgeous everywhere!

Fav. Show and why:  I LOVE the Country Bear Jamboree! This is a Disney classic. The audio-animatronic characters have always fascinated me. I remember as a little kid watching the Wonderful World of Disney and Walt showing how some of the critters worked. Illuminations at EPCOT has always been a favorite of mine too.

Fav. Resort and why: I love the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It's comfortable, love the balconies and having giraffes grazing outside your window is AMAZING!!!

Fav. Restuarant and why: Olivias at Old Key West. The food is delicious! The Caesar salad is wonderful and their home made breads....mmmmmmmm!!! Don't even get me started on the pasta dishes! Oh that reminds me, Alfredo's in the Italian pavilion at Epcot is wonderful and the wait staff very friendly. For a good walk-up service Great Britain's fish and chips are tops!

Fav. Snack at WDW:  Right now I think I'll have to say the Beavertails in Canada. The cinnamon sugar ones are delicious! My son licked the plate clean!

Fav. Disney Tip:  Try to do parks EARLY in the morning whether you're staying on or off site. We like the last couple seats on Big Thunder Mt. for a bumpy, fun ride! Before the big drop on Splash Mt be sure to take in the view of MK....spectacular! At Epcot a great place to watch the Tapestry of Nations Parade is in the Outpost area. There are tables with umbrellas to sit. Don't be shy join right in the fun! Don't rush! Take the time to really look at things and enjoy them! And last, be sure to use Fastpass! It's terrific!

Fav. Disney Magical Moment/ Most Memorable Experience:  I have a few that really stand out in my mind. When my son was 7months old meeting Mickey for the very first time somehow Mickey made his nose wiggle. Erich was fascinated by it and kept reaching for it with a little, toothless grin on his face! When I took my Mom to see Honey I Shrunk the Audience. I'll never forget my Mom, who was 74 at the time, screaming and giggling like a teenager! My honey, Joe, getting a standing ovation at the karaoke bar, Kimonos, at the Swan! Erich and Jonathan having a "duel" with a CM in the PoC shop.

Words of Wisdom:
I've always been a great fan of Disney. After visiting WDW I could NOT get enough information about it. I was always at the library or book store looking for something to read about my favorite place. I wanted, needed MORE!!! =0) When we came on line and I found the DIS over 2 years ago I thought I'd gone to Disney heaven!! Disney info 24/7 at the touch of my fingers. WOW! There were other's out there in the "real" world just like me! Little did I know what a big part of my life this website would become! I thank Pete and John for creating and keeping this a warm and friendly place and including me in their magical journey. To Adam and C.C. for being so welcoming from the beginning and for doing such a great job. I've made so many friends here. I've had the good fortune to meet several and even think of some as family. We use to call each other "Disneykin" here at the DIS. I think that describes all of us that visit here very well. I love meeting new friends here online and hope to meet some more in "real" life too. Keep wearing those lime green ribbons! =0) Thanks to ALL of you that come to the DIS and make this a wonderful place to call home!ome!
