Which Disney Parks around the world have you visited: Disneyland,
MK, Epcot, MGM, AK and 4 Disney Cruises.
Date of first Disney Trip: Summer
of 1975
# of Disney Trips: 20+
First Disney Attraction and reaction to it: Matterhorn: I
was very impressed and very happy to be riding on something
I had always dreamed about!
Fav Park and Why: Tough decision, but
I'll give Epcot a little edge. There is so
much to see and do there. World Showcase
is almost like a "park within a park". I
usually try to spend two days there so I can see everything
that I plan on visiting. I rate Test Track
and the gift shops in World Showcase as "not to
be missed"!
Fav Attraction and why: After much
consideration, I would choose Spaceship Earth as my
favorite. It may not be "fast"
or as thrilling as many others, but there is something
about it that draws me there as soon as we enter Epcot. There
is so much detail as you travel thru the ages of long
ago, it never becomes boring. I never miss
a trip on Spaceship Earth when I visit Epcot!
Fav Show and why: My Favorite "show"
would be Disney Dreams on board the Disney Cruise Line
ships. It encompasses everything truly "Disney"
and can invariably bring a tear to my eye each time
I see it. Highly recommended!!
Fav Resort and why: My current
favorite Resort is the Boardwalk Villas. The location
is outstanding! Right on the Boardwalk, convenient
to both Epcot and MGM Studios, there is so much to see
and do there. My teens love being able to go off
on their own, and they can keep busy without having
to go far at all. The units are "Home Away
From Home" villas and the 2 bedroom is my absolute
dream unit!
Fav Restaurant and why: Not
that long ago I tried Cape May for the first time.
The dinner buffet was excellent! The variety of
seafood, meat, and other dishes was plentiful and delicious.
I plan on dining there again on my next trip to make
sure it is still my current fav!!
Fav Snack at WDW: No contest here! When
I visit Epcot, I must stop at France and order coffee
and a delicious French pastry! If I am lucky
enough to get a little table and chairs outside, you
really feel as if you are sitting at a cafe in Paris.
Fav Disney Tip: When we are visiting
the MK early, and I know my teens want to hit Splash
Mountain right away, I have an easy way of getting there
first! We arrive before opening and go up the stairs
to where the WDW Railroad boards, right on Main Street. We
wait till the attendant drops the rope and then get
right on board. As they announce the MK is
opening, the train blows its whistle and proceeds to
chug right along to Frontierland. We get
off there and my girls hurry on over and get on Splash
Mountain just as the
"thundering herd" of people are rushing up
from Adventureland! It's a lot less stressful
than running thru the park!
Fav Disney Magical Moment/Most Memorable Experience: I
first brought my girls to WDW when they were 3 years
old and 4 months old. The magic in the eyes of
a toddler as they look into Mickey's face just cannot
be compared to anything else! After talking and
planning about visiting Mickey, it was magical to see
her face light up as the character became a real life
person to her! There is definitely a certain magic when
they are young enough to still "believe".
Of course some of us never do grow up..... ;)
Words of Wisdom: The best family vacations
and memories I have are the ones from our WDW trips. There
are so many choices of places to stay and things to
do, that you could go every single year and create totally
different trips every single time! The DIS, and
all the wonderful people who help out on it, has
given me a venue to visit to enhance and help me plan
my WDW trips! A big THANK YOU to Pete and
to all the DIS folks! |
