Which Disney parks around the world have you visited:
Disneyland, Walt Disney World
Date of first Disney Trip: 1983
# of Disney Trips: 1 trip to Disneyland, 6
to WDW
First Disney Attraction and reaction to it:
It's A Small World. It has a lot of sentimental value
to me, since my preschool was called "It's A
Small World." I loved it when I rode
it the first time as a preschooler, and I still love
it today!
Fav. Park and why: Magic Kingdom. It
gives that feeling of escaping reality and just overall
fantasy. What can I say? I'm
a kid at heart! :)
Fav. Attraction and why: That's a toss
up between It's A Small World (see above), Splash
Mountain (I love the theming), and Rock 'n' Roller
Coaster (One world for this ride: AWESOME. Anyone
that has been on it can relate)
Fav. Show and why: Tapestry of Nations. There's
nothing like it. The music, the puppets,
the drums, the Sage of Time....everything flows together
so well! The show is so abstract that it
can represent just about whatever you want it to represent! That's
the beauty of the parade; there's no definite theme
other than unity. It has brought me to
tears on more than one occasion!
Fav. Resort and why: Dixie Landings. It's
a very peaceful, relaxing resort, which helps you
to unwind after a long day at the parks. The
theming and landscaping are wonderful! The
food court is awesome, the bus transportation is just
as good, and the overall atmosphere is top notch. Dixie
Landings is my "home away from home."
Fav. Restaurant and why: Hmmm....that's
a tough one. I like the Crystal Palace
for the food (breakfast lasagna.....yummy!), the Liberty
Tree Tavern for atmosphere, Chefs de France for food
(they have a sauce that they put over their chicken
dish that is killer! I've tried to recreate
it several times, but I haven't even come close to
the sauce in Chefs de France). There are
just too many!
Fav. Snack at WDW: Ghiradelli's chocolate
Fav. Disney Tip: Watch Tapestry of Nations
from one of the starting/ending points: Mexico, Germany,
Morocco, or the UK.
Fav. Disney Magical Moment/ Most Memorable Experience:
I should probably preface this by saying that I LOVE
kids. If you find kids, you'll find me! With
that being said, it's no surprise that my most memorable
WDW experience involves a four year old child. I
was on my way to dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern
when a marching band dressed in Colonial clothing
came marching past. This was the first
time I'd seen it, so I was curious to watch. The
band stopped right in front of me, and pulled in a
four year old girl named Kayla. She was
the official flag bearer for the rest of the parade. She
was so happy, and it was so cute! I cried
the entire time! I ended up taking almost
an entire roll of film just on her carrying the American
flag! I was 10 minutes late to my priority
seating at the Liberty Tree Tavern, but I didn't care
What can I say besides I love WDW? I have
two years left until I get my Bachelors in Management,
and I'm headed down to WDW to work after that! It's
been a lifelong dream for me to work in WDW, and it
will be a reality in just a few years. I'll
be working in Retail Management, so look for me either
in Mouse Gear or the World of Disney! :)
