Which Disney parks around the world have you visited:
WDW, Florida
Date of first Disney Trip: April, 1981
# of Disney Trips: 30+
First Disney Attraction and reaction to it: Grand Prix
Raceway in MK. At age 11, I was thrilled that I could
actually drive my OWN car!
Fav. Park and why: EPCOT. I guess my childhood
memories of Horizons and the World of Motion keep this
park close to my heart!
Fav. Attraction and why: I have so many "favorites", it is too difficult to pick just one! In Disney's Animal Kingdom, it would have to be Kilamanjaro Safaris. Each time you ride, you enjoy many new animals. So, your experience is unique no matter how many times you ride! In the Magic Kingdom, my favorite is Splash Mountain. What a fun flume ride! For Epcot, it would have to be Impressions de France. This 18 minute film presentation includes wonderful compositions from legends like Debussy, Saint-Saens and Ravel. This scenic journey to France is a show not be missed! At the Disney-MGM Studios, it would have to be the Rock-N-Rollercoaster. It's a memorable thrill ride!
Fav. Show and why: Fantasmic. The lights, lasers, and
fireworks never cease to amaze me!
Fav. Resort and why: Again, it is quite difficult to select just one Disney resort. I enjoy many different resorts for many different reasons. Typically, I split my WDW vacation trips between two or three resorts for this very reason! If I had to stay at just ONE resort, however, it would be Disney's Grand Floridian. Elegance, charm, and exceptional Disney service--it's no wonder the Grand is Disney's Flagship resort.
Fav. Restaurant and why: California Grill. Exceptional
menu, fine wine, and a breathtaking view.
Fav. Snack at WDW: Again, only one?! I'll break it down by theme park. At the Magic Kingdom, I have to pick my old favorite--rice krispie treats from the Main Street Confectionary. At the Disney-MGM Studios, it would have to be the freshly dipped caramel apples from the candy shoppe on Hollywood Boulevard. At Epcot, I enjoy the sweet pretzels at Kringla Bakery in Norway. I haven't settled on a favorite at Disney's Animal Kingdom. I'll have to work on that one!
Fav. Disney Tip: Take mid-day breaks. By taking a break, you can avoid the heavy mid-day lines and take advantage of your WDW resort pools/recreation!
Fav. Disney Magical Moment/ Most Memorable Experience: My Disney wedding in 1997! It was quite literally a dream come true! WDW is even more special to me now!
Words of Wisdom: Trip planning is great (and necessary!) but allow some time to "go with the flow" during your WDW vacation. If you have an agenda for every minute of your trip, you may miss out on the ubiquitous Disney "details" that make WDW so magical.
