Fav. Park and why:Magic Kingdom--- There is nothing like that first walk down Main Street when you first arrive on your vacation and look down the street at the castle.
Fav. Attraction and why:Splash Mountain--- I love the themeing that the ride has.
Fav. Show and why: Lion King show in the Magic Kingdom. It just tugs at the heart strings when the songs are played.
Fav. Resort and why: This is a easy answer-- Wilderness Lodge--- I love walking in and that theme music is playing and you look up at the grand hall looking at the totem poles and all the wonderful surroundings.
Fav. Restaurant and why: : Cape May Seafood Buffet---This is one of the reasons I moved closer to WDW.
Fav. Snack at WDW: I love the crepes in France
Fav. Disney Tip:
This tip is one of my best. Don't tell anyone. If you want to watch a parade at the Magic Kingdom go to the center of the Magic Kingdom at the hub where Walt and Mickey statues are. From there you will go to the path that leads you into Adventureland. Just as you get on this path you will see several benches on the right. Sit down at either of the first two. This area gives you a clear view of the parade if you turn around and look out over the back of the bench. I guarantee no one will stand in front of you on the other path leading into Liberty Square. The cast members block it off because the parade is to wide to let people stand there so you will have a clear shot at seeing the parade. Usually you don't have to get there early to get this either.
Fav. Disney Magical Moment/ Most Memorable Experience:My most magical moment was last year when one of our board visitors wrote on the boards that she had just lost her husband and she needed advise on her trip that they had planned with their two daughters. She told us that he would want them to go on the trip so she has decided to take the girls. Hearing this and finding out that his favorite ride was Big Thunder Mountain I called the hotel and made arrangements for them to get a front row seat on the ride along with going to the head of the line without waiting, so that they could ride with him in there thoughts as they went around the ride.Originally I had tried to get them on their own private train but could not do it for safety reasons. The family was thrilled and touched by the surprise I had arranged. My most memorable experience was when I had rented a watermouse and was driving the boat near the Grand Floridian and a Bald Eagle came swooping down and grabbed a fish right out of the water in front of me.
Words of Wisdom: I just want to say what great friends I have found on the DIS. With me being unable to work it was the DIS that kept me from going looney.
