Which Disney parks around the world have you visited:
WDW, DL (Calif) (does Disney Cruise Line count as
a park? LOL)
Date of first Disney Trip: January, 1984
# of Disney Trips: approx. 20
First Disney Attraction and reaction to it:
Train ride around the Magic Kingdom - loved it!
Fav. Park and why: Magic Kingdom: to me it's Walt's
"original" and just has that special touch
of magic. No matter what park is ever built
and no matter how much I enjoy going to it, nothing
will ever top that first walk down Main St. USA.
Fav. Attraction and why: The train ride around
the Magic Kingdom..it was the first thing I ever rode,
and still make it the first thing I ride when
I go to the MK. There's just something about the simplicity
of it all.
Fav. Show and why: Fantasmic! It is by
far the best night time show on WDW property. The
special effects, the music, it has it all.
Fav. Resort and why: Disney's Port Orleans
- it's quiet and intimate and has just enough flavor
of "N'awlins". Very well themed overall.
Fav. Restaurant and why: Palio's over
at the Swan/Dolphin - best Italian food I've had in
a long time.
Fav. Snack at WDW: Dole Whip from Adventureland
Fav. Disney Tip: At the MK, hit the "E-Ticket"
attractions during parades, fireworks -- will cut
down your waiting time!
Fav. Disney Magical Moment/ Most Memorable Experience:
Walking down Main St. USA when I was a child, and
still getting those goose bumps even now when I'm
there!
Words
of Wisdom: Nowhere else in the world but
at a Disney theme park exists such an experience where
you can go through a turnstile and for a brief moment
in time, turn back into an seven year old child and
be simply amazed at all the sights, sounds and
smells around you. Suddenly, all the trials and tribulations
of the outside world seem to melt away...if only for
a few days.
I
want to publicly thank Pete and John, our entire staff
of webmasters, moderators and chat hosts - and of
course all the amazing DIS visitors for making this
site what it is today. I may be far from a Disney
park right now, but where else can I turn on a computer
and suddenly relive all the fun, laughter and plain
ol' good times spent with friends and family?
Thanks gang!
