The folks over at the Disney Book Group must have known how antsy folks are becoming as they wait for the much-anticipated arrival of the new, live-action Beauty and the Beast. We have seen lots of enchanting products surrounding the film and the folks over at Oh My Disney have put together a list of all five just-released books to keep us busy while we wait for March 17th.
Take a look!
This is the classic tale about a girl who loves to read falling in love with a Beast who gives her her very own library. This novelization blends the modern take of the new live-action film with the classic fairytale we all know and love.
Adult coloring books are known to be a fantastic stress reliever. Relief combined with this enchanting fairytale, stunning pen-and-ink illustrations of beautiful landscapes, elaborate patterns, and memorable characters make for a great way to spend an evening. Plus, this coloring book comes with a “lay flat” book block so the pages stay flat while you’re coloring. Pretty cool, huh?
This book is “basically the magic mirror from the film, except what it shows you is all of the stunning artwork and amazing stories that went into the making of both the animated film from 1991 and the new 2017 version. It ‘features interviews with artists, voice-over actors, and executives, and transcripts of meetings and story sessions. Illustrations abound throughout, including sketches, caricatures, sequences of animation drawings, and preliminary artwork from discarded scenes.’” You really can’t call yourself a Beauty and the Beast superfan and not own this book.
“This book takes place during the events of Beauty and the Beast; specifically after Belle befriends the enchanted objects and becomes accustomed to life in the castle. ‘When she comes upon Nevermore, an enchanted book unlike anything else she has seen in the castle, Belle finds herself pulled into its pages and transported to a world of glamour and intrigue … The charming and mysterious characters Belle meets within the pages of Nevermore offer her glamorous conversation, a life of dazzling Parisian luxury, and even a reunion she never thought possible. Here Belle can have everything she ever wished for. But what about her friends in the Beast’s castle? Can Belle trust her new companions inside the pages of Nevermore? Is Nevermore’s world even real? Belle must uncover the truth about the book, before she loses herself in it forever.’”
This charming book includes quotes from books that Belle might have had in her own library. “As if that wasn’t enough of a reason to buy this little beauty, Belle herself has annotated the quotes, left notes in the margins, and doodled to her heart’s content.” It’s like peeking into her very own journal!
So, which of these books will you be picking up – if not all of them?
