Choza de Margarita Coming Soon to Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion

Choza de Margarita, a new outdoor bar in the shadow of the pyramid at the Mexico Pavilion in Epcot will be opening soon!

The new walk-up location, whose name, “choza,” comes from the Spanish work for “hut”, will be serving authentic Mexican beverages and street food.

The beverage menu includes three hand-crafted margaritas: The Acan Grapefruit with Casa Noble Blanco Tequila, grapefruit liqueur , elderberry flower cordial, lemon juice, cardamom bitters and ginger beer; the Lime Cucumber with Avion Blanco Tequila, fresh cucumber, orange liqueur, lime juice and agave nectar; and the Guava Pink Peppercorn with Zignum Mexcal Reposado, guava nectar, grapefruit juice, lime juice, Peychaud’s Bitters and pink peppercorns.

The bar will also be pouring three different frozen margaritas: The classic Lime with tequila blanco, lime sweet & sour, orange liqueur and agave nectar; Wild Strawberry with tequila blanco, strawberry and prickly pear puree, violet flower liquor and lime juice; and Passion Mango with tequila blanco, orange liqueur, wild passion fruit and mango puree.

Other drink options include three different Mexican beers and a non-alcoholic Mexican fruit punch with orange, pineapple, and grapefruit juices, plus a splash of grenadine.

The food menu at the “hut” will feature: Tacos al Pastor with grilled pork on fresh homemade corn tortillas topped with green tomatillo sauce, onion, pineapple and cilantro; Empanadas de Barbacoa with beef topped with chipotle sauce, Mexican crema and queso fresco; and Fresh Guacamole with mango chutney, pumpkin and pomegranate seeds, served with fried flour “chicharrones” and salsa Valentina.

There is no opening date yet for Choza de Margarita, but the construction walls should be coming down soon.
