Mattel has something special for Cars fans when it travels to the San Diego Comic-Con in July: an exclusive Cars 3 die-cast car that shows the production stages of Mattel’s creations.
The set comes with three versions of the Lightning McQueen die-cast. The first is the raw metal Zamak Body. The Second has two coats of finish for shine and gloss, and is called the Double Ransburg Body. Lastly, there is the finished product, complete with logos, eyes, mouth, and headlights.
Mattel has sold of 300 million die-cast cars to date worldwide since the release of the first Cars film in 2006.
The set will be available at Comic-Con for $30, and will include a display box showing the 3 car production process.
