Construction for SeaWorld Orlando’s Infinity Falls Attraction to Begin Soon

SeaWorld Orlando filed a permit with Orange County on October 12 to begin the “construction of a new river rapids ride and associated buildings.” While the area has already been cleared and the foundation is set, the recent permit seems to indicate that the actual attraction will soon begin constructions.

The new river rapid attraction in question is the previously announced Infinity Falls attraction. SeaWorld Orlando plans on opening the new attraction by sometime next year.

If you haven’t already heard, Infinity Falls will have a river rapid drop of 40 feet, which is the biggest river rapid drop in the world! The attraction will be themed around a river expedition in a rainforest. The attraction’s theming will also teach guests about conservation efforts in the rainforest.

SeaWorld Orlando has tapped PCL Construction Service Inc. for the construction. PCL Construction Service Inc. is also managing other Orlando theme park construction like Walt Disney World’s upcoming Skyliner gondola transportation system.

When prompted for comments by the Orlando Business Journal, SeaWorld Orlando was unavailable to comment at the time.

In other SeaWorld Orlando construction news, there was also a quick update on the construction of Ray Rush, which will be a new family raft slide coming to SeaWorld Orlando’s water park Aquatica. The Orlando Business Journal is reporting that Ray Rush will be open in spring 2018.
