Disney Channel began production in May of last year on its next new project, which would naturally involve the popular formula of teens and music; this time though, the undead would be added to the mix. A new trailer has just been released for Z-O-M-B-I-E-S, along with a release date set for mid-February of this year.
Z-O-M-B-I-E-S tells the tale of two students at Seabrook High with vastly different backgrounds; Addison is a cheerleader, while Zed is a football player. Ok, maybe not vastly different backgrounds, but when you factor in that Addison is alive while Zed happens to be dead, the contrast starts getting noticeable.
Seabrook High is undergoing a period of integration as students from Zombietown begin attending classes alongside the still-breathing student body. As tensions begin to mount between students, the only thing that can bring this town together in friendship and understanding is the bond between Addison and Zed, and presumably some song-and-dance numbers.
The films stars Meg Donnelly and Milo Manheim (as Addison and Zed), Trevor Tordjman, Kylee Russell, James Godfrey, and Kingston Foster. Veteran Disney Channel director Paul Hoen headed the project, which will debut on Friday, February 16th at 8 PM.
