As you probably already know, in 2015 the shopping, dining, and entertainment district of Downtown Disney was rebranded as Disney Springs. With the rebranding also came a lot of construction. Fortunately, most of the construction has been completed, but a few of the finishing touches are still being completed including Jaleo, Wine Bar George, and Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill.
Later this year Jaleo will open to guests in the West Side neighborhood of Disney Springs. The tapas-style menu was created by Chef José Andrés, and will include authentic Spanish cuisine! Guests of the neighboring Splitsville Luxury Lanes have the perfect vantage point on the second floor to see the construction of Jaleo. While I don’t claim to be an expert on construction, a layman could tell there is still a lot of work that needs to be done before this project is completed.
Wine Bar George
Nearing the end of its construction process is Wine Bar George, which is scheduled to open sometime this spring. The outside of the wine bar seems to be close to completion, so the opening date of this brand-new experience really comes down to just how far the construction is on the inside of this new bar.
Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill
Tucked behind Planet Hollywood and right next to the Coca-Cola Store will be the Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill. The beams of this farmhouse style restaurant have gone up, but that’s about it. Much like Jaleo, this location’s construction site has a perfect vantage point from a neighboring location; in this case, it is from the third floor of the Coca-Cola Store.
