Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort has been in the middle of a major expansion and some impressive enhancements are coming for their convention and meeting guests as well. The exciting transformation of this convention hotel is going to give meeting, conference, and convention planners, as well as their attendees, a more appealing place for their events with a little touch of Disney added in.
Pictured above is the recently-updated outdoor event space, Casitas Courtyard. This private patio can host 25-200 attendees for a breakfast, lunch, or dinner buffet, or 25-400 attendees for a reception. The overhead globe string lights makes for a charming venue that is conveniently located near the convention center.
The expansion also includes a 12,000-square-foot event lawn in addition to the 220,000 square feet of dedicated meeting, event, and exhibition space that the resort already has available. Attendees can look forward to enjoying a lakeside view for events such as a reception, group picnic, or a dinner party in the new event space. When the expansion is completed, attendees will find the convenience of getting to other areas of the resort via a series of bridges and covered walkways that pass through the outdoor island oasis.
Last year, we shared an artist rendering of the upper lobby space that’s being created and we now have another image that shows the two-story, grand lobby and reveals the lower lobby. Guests will enter through the upper lobby on the second level of the resort where they will experience an open floor check-in process. There will also be common areas for connecting and working.
Guests in the upper lobby balcony will have a great vantage point overlooking the lobby below. The lower lobby will offer a 16-seat lounge and morning coffee bar. In the evenings, the coffee bar will transform into a nighttime bar and lounge that will serve as a comfortable space for networking after meetings.
