Downtown Disney, Disneyland Resort‘s dining and shopping area, is getting rid of some popular shopping destinations to make room for some new dining options. The stores to be closing soon are Build-A-Bear Workshop, Chapel Hats, and Ridemakerz.
The shops aren’t closing due to poor performance, merely a need for more dining space. There are currently no available spaces to relocate them.
Build-A-Bear Workshop is a store that allows families to create, customize, and stuff teddy bears from over 30 options. Chapel Hats has only occupied its current location for a little over a year, but has other stores at Walt Disney World. Ridemakerz is another custom toy creation store, where shoppers can build their own battery-powered remote-controlled car or truck.
