Fandango Joins Google Play and Others to Partner with Disney’s Movies Anywhere


The digital locker that began as Disney Movies Anywhere back in 2014 has now been reinvented into simply Movies Anywhere.

Fandango’s FandangoNow video-on-demand service has just joined the four already-existing Movies Anywhere digital retailers; Apple’s iTunes, Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, and Walmart’s Vudu.

FandangoNow users will be able to use the Movies Anywhere app or website to access their eligible collection of movies from Walt Disney Studios which encompasses Disney, Pixar, Marvel Studios, and Lucasfilm — 20th Century Fox Film, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Universal Pictures (including DreamWorks and Illumination Entertainment) and Warner Bros. Movies Anywhere provides access to just about 7,500 digital movies.

Karin Gilford, General Manager of Movies Anywhere says, “We are thrilled to welcome FandangoNow, a go-to online destination for movie fans, as our newest digital retailer.”
