Medals Revealed for 2018 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

2018 marks the 25th anniversary of Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend! runDisney has released images of all the medals that can be earned in their biggest race weekend of the season and there are still limited spaces available for select races if you still want to register for the ‘most magical race on earth!’

The medal for the Walt Disney World 5K features Mickey and his pal, Pluto.

Those who complete the 6.2-mile Walt Disney World 10K will receive this sparkly medal featuring both Mickey and Minnie Mouse with a red and white polka-dotted ribbon.

Next up is the medal for the Walt Disney World Half Marathon hosted by Donald Duck. This adorable medal features Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck too!

To end race weekend is the Walt Disney World Full Marathon – 26.2 magical miles with Mickey Mouse himself as your host. Finish this race and receive a beautiful, silver anniversary medal with a spinning element in the middle.

The ‘Goofiest’ and ‘Dopiest’ runners who conquer either the ‘Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge’ by completing both the Half Marathon and Full Marathon or the ‘Dopey Challenge’ by completing the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and full Marathon, can look forward to earning these medals that are full of character! 2018’s Dopey Challenge medal also incorporates a nod to its 5th Anniversary.

Those runners who want to runDisney during their Disney Cruise Line vacation can participate in the ‘Disney Castaway Cay Challenge’ on January 10, 2018. Combine any Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend race with the Castaway Cay 5K, a 3.1-mile adventure around Disney’s beautiful private island in the Bahamas, and earn their medal which showcases the spirit of running from parks to paradise!
