New Experiences Coming to the 2017 Star Wars Day at Sea


According to the Disney Parks Blog, there are new experiences coming to the 2017 Star Wars Day at Sea on the Disney Fantasy. This Star Wars celebration returned in January and will continue until April.

There is now an expanded nighttime spectacular. The nighttime show, “Summon the Force” will now include music from Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Additionally, new characters like Kylo Ren, Ezra, and Sabine will all now be part of the nighttime spectacular.


Meet-and-greet opportunities will now be available for Star Wars Rebels characters. This means guests of all ages will be able to meet characters like Sabine, Ezra, and Ahsoka Tano. Season three of Star Wars Rebels will also be playing on the upper deck’s Funnel Vision LED screen, which is more than 30 feet wide and 18 feet high.

Star Wars Day at Sea will also bring aboard some special guest speakers. According to the Disney Parks Blog, the speakers include Hannah Gills, producer for Industrial Light & Magic; Pablo Hidalgo, creative executive for Lucasfilm Story Group and Jason McGatlin, executive producer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Star Wars: The Last Jedi. There are more speakers yet to be announced on select sailings.


Of course, there is new Star Wars Day at Sea merchandise including pins, apparel, and more.

Lastly, there will be screenings of the Star Wars films, including the latest film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
