It has been a full decade since SeaWorld Orlando’s Aquatica opened its gates, and the water park is honoring the occasion with a commemorative sculpture and Florida resident annual pass deals.
This sculpture isn’t just celebrating all of the changes that have happened since the gates opened on March 1st, 2008, though; along with a birthday cake theme, the 22-ton granular colossus proudly advertises Aquatica’s upcoming Ray Rush attraction. It took a total of 25 hours to complete the 8-foot-tall, 15-foot-wide sculpture which will be viewable to guests through March 5th.
SeaWorld Orlando released a video showing the sand sculpture’s creation from start to finish:
While impressive, this beachy behemoth isn’t Aquatica’s only birthday surprise. From now through March 15th, Florida residents will have the opportunity to purchase an Aquatica annual pass for just $10 per month through EZPay. Annual passes include free parking and offer special discounts. Aquatica is also giving guests the chance to purchase 6″ x 8″ photos for $10 until the end of April.
