Later this month, the second installment of Morimoto Asia’s Guest Chef Series is taking place at Disney Springs. This event will feature two locally and nationally celebrated chefs, Yuhi Fujinaga and James and Julie Petrakis, along with their restaurants Morimoto Asia and The Polite Pig which are both located at Disney Springs. The two award-winning chefs will present guests with a variety of Pan-Asian and Southern-inspired dishes.
The family event will occupy the whole second floor as well as the outdoor patio at Morimoto Asia. A variety of food and beverage stations will be filled with delicious dishes which include pork cheek tamales, Florida peach glazed pork belly satay with spicy peanut sauce, Dim Sum Dogs (gyoza sausage with fried bao bun), Pork Skirt Steak Yakiniku Tacos and house-cured charcuterie. The evening’s main attraction will be a whole roasted pig which will be sliced and served to guests on the restaurant’s patio overlooking Disney Springs.
The food will showcase a variety of Florida meats, fresh produce, and craft beers. Guests of the event will be given the opportunity to meet representatives from Frog Song Organics, Palmetto Creek Farms, and local breweries including Cask and Larder, Coppertail, Crooked Can Brewing Co., Red Cypress, and Red Light Red Light.
