Alex Dunlap over at the Disney Parks Blog has shared some fun news with us about the Flurry of Fun coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios this holiday season! Flurry of Fun doesn’t officially kick off until November 9, but as a special surprise, the festive holiday sweets and treats will be available to guests throughout the park beginning on Sunday, November 5!
Offered at various locations throughout the park, you’ll find holiday cookies, gingerbread pops, and a special “Prep and Landing”-themed gingerbread cupcake at ABC Commissary, Rosie’s All-American Café, Catalina Eddie’s, Sweet Spells, and The Trolley Car Café.
A special collection of adult-only hot chocolate beverages will be offered at Min and Bill’s Dockside Diner and Fairfax Fare, to include a hot chocolate martini, Bailey’s Salted Caramel hot chocolate, black cherry bourbon hot chocolate, and even a hot chocolate flight where you can sample all three!! Additional adult beverages coming this year include a Peppermint White Russian, a Winterberry Cooler, and a “Let It Glow” drink consisting of vodka and blue-raspberry frozen carbonated beverage that’s served with a glow cube at various locations around Echo Lake and Sunset Boulevard.
For guests of all ages, classic hot cocoa with marshmallows at ABC Commissary, Backlot Express, PizzeRizzo, Rosie’s All-American Café, Catalina Eddie’s, Fairfax Fare, and Min and Bill’s Dockside Diner.
Take a look at these indulgent red velvet whoopie pies that are carefully decorated with icing garland, ornament pearls, and holiday sprinkles. These tree-shaped treats will be available at Sweet Spells and Fairfax Fare.
Hollywood Scoops and Min and Bill’s Dockside Diner will serve up an apple cranberry cobbler or if you’ve got a hankering for a sweet and savory snack, look for the festive holiday popcorn mix at popcorn carts throughout the park. This special popcorn mixture includes marshmallows, pretzels, and M&M’s and then it’s topped off with a chocolate drizzle.
What would a Flurry of Fun be without our favorite summer-loving snowman? Olaf is coming to join the celebration of the holidays and he’s bringing a sleigh-full of new treats that are worth melting for. First on the list is his special cupcake that will be available at ABC Commissary, Rosie’s All-American Café, Catalina Eddie’s, Fairfax Fare, and Sweet Spells. An Olaf Pop will be available at Gertie’s Ice Cream of Extinction, an Olaf Sundae at Hollywood Scoops, and Sugar Frosted Fruit Bites at Pretzel Palooza. Guests should also keep their eyes out for an Olaf-themed sipper that comes filled with a fun “Frozen” beverage!
If all of those delicious-sounding desserts don’t satisfy your sweet tooth, you can attend the Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Holiday Dessert Party in the evenings between November 9 and December 31. At the dessert party, guests can indulge in specialty sweets and sips before moving to a special reserved viewing area to enjoy the all-new Disney Movie Magic show and Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!, a holiday spectacular hosted by the elves Wayne and Lanny from “Prep and Landing.” The desserts offered will include items such as candy cane brownies, holiday Mickey and Minnie sugar cookies, warm pumpkin pie spiced bread pudding, and sweet Yule Log.
