George A. Kalogridis, President of Walt Disney World, will now also be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the MyMagic+ program that is set to fully launch at the Resort soon. Kalogridis takes the reins from Nick Franklin, who has been in charge of the program's development since 2009. Franklin is Walt Disney Parks and Resorts' executive vice president for next generation experience and will now begin working on future development of the MyMagic+ technologies, including more possible uses for them and perhaps introducing them in the other Disney theme parks around the world.

Disney said the billion-dollar program has "reached important milestones in terms of testing" and should be rolled out fully in the very near future.
