Taking a page from its "Give a Day, Get a Disney Day" playbook, the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida announced a new initiative to "give back" to Central Florida. Leveraging on the upcoming 40th Anniversary of the Magic Kingdom, Disney announced a 40-day campaign entitled "Shine On" at a recent press conference. Disney's efforts, launched on April 13th and continuing through May 22, involve giving in excess of $1.2 million in "Disney Helping Kids Shine" grants to local communities.
