Disney guests to have access to extra FastPass+ each day

After mentioning a few weeks ago the possibility of Walt Disney World
guests being able to get extra FastPass+
reservations, Disney Chairman Tom Staggs announced today that this will indeed become a reality.
Beginning Monday, April 28, after guests use their allotted three FastPass+ reservations, they will be able to make another selection at one of the kioks, and another after that is used, and so on. After using the first three FastPass+ reservations, the additional ones can be made in a different park, an option that hasn't been available until now.
Staggs says, "As we've said from the beginning, MyMagic+ will continue to evolve over time with the aim of continuing to improve our guests' experience with us and in response to feedback from our guests. Today's news is another chapter of that story and we look forward to sharing more with you as we continue to roll out and refine MyMagic+."
Questions posed in the comments of the Disney Parks Blog
- Do the additional FastPass+ selections have to be made at one of the kiosks or will that option be available on the My Disney Experience smartphone app?
- If your third FastPass+ isn't until late in the day, like for a fireworks show or nighttime parade, will you not be eligible for a fourth FastPass+?
- Can the additional FastPass+ selection be for one of the same attractions chosen for the first three?
- In parks with FastPass+ tiers, how will the fourth FastPass+ work? Which tier do you choose from?
