Drunk Epcot guest attacks three Walt Disney World cast members

An intoxicated guest at Epcot attacked three Walt Disney World cast members this weekend. Austin DeVan Hill, a 2012 Naval Academy graduate and former Navy football player, was at the International Food and Wine Festival, where the incident occurred. Hill, 23, of Pensacola, entered a backstage area in the Innoventions East building where he punched cast member Michael Connelly. Connelly was taken to Celebration Hospital to treat a large cut to his forehead.

Moving into the underground tunnels, Hill was stopped by cast member Timothy Beltley when he tried to take a cargo work cart. Hill punched him in the face; Beltley was treated at the hospital as well. Hill had picked up a 3-foot-long piece of PVC pipe when cast member Jessica Brown came up to him. He hit her in the left cheek and neck, which swelled, but she was treated at the scene.

Hill was held to the ground by Disney security until the Orange County deputies arrived; at this point he was bleeding from the knees, wrists and hands. On the way to the security office, he fell and injured his chin and face.

Deputies said Hill "appeared to be drunk as he resisted efforts to restrain him, yelled and made incoherent statements."

Hill was charged with aggravated battery and two counts of battery. He has since posted bail and was released from the Orange County Jail.
