The Orlando City Lions Soccer Club will play their 2014 home games at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World. The Florida Citrus Bowl, the Lions' home stadium, is undergoing renovations, making the move necessary. Tickets will go on sale immediately. Current season ticket holders will get first choice of seats once the team is back in their own stadium in 2015. The Lions have been invited to join Major League Soccer that year as well, so Orlando and Orange County recently voted through the approval of funds for a new downtown, multi-purpose soccer stadium.

Seating at the ESPN stadium will be increased to 5,200 to accommodate the club's fans. According to the Orlando Sentinel, this is enough for the regular season games, but the Lions hosted 22,000 fans at the Citrus Bowl for a championship game earlier this season.

Phil Rawlins, president of Orlando City Soccer Club, said, "We hope our fans are as thrilled as we are to call ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex our home field for the 2014 season. With professional sporting event experience, premier soccer fields and world-class amenities, this facility will enable us to play all of our home games in one location and in a venue where our fans will be closer to our players than ever before. We look forward to next year's possibilities before hopefully heading into MLS for the 2015 season."
