Mar 27, 2014

Walt Disney World is building a new laundry facility that is expected to create 400 new jobs. The state-of-the-art facility will be the fourth one on Disney property, but the first of its kind featuring the cutting-edge technology. J.R. Garcia, director of textile services at Walt Disney World, said, "The new facility will showcase some of the textile industry's most cutting-edge features including conveyors and air suction tubs that quickly move linens and machines that automatically sort, separate and fold."

200 construction positions will be needed for the project, as well as 200 cast members to work in the facility as linen handlers, maintenance and managers.

The new facility is located near Disney's Art of Animation Resort and will open in spring 2015.
