Offsite day guests will soon have access to Disney's MagicBands and FastPass+

Beginning March 31, offsite day guests (guests not staying at an official Walt Disney World hotel) will be able to make FastPass+ reservations up to 30 days before they visit the Walt Disney World theme parks. Previously, this was only available to Annual Passholders or guests staying at a Walt Disney World hotel; onsite guests are able to make FastPass+ up to 60 days in advance and Annual Passholders can make theirs up to 30 days in advance.
Day guests will be able to use their RFID-enabled tickets at the FastPass+ scanners, or will have the opportunity to purchase MagicBands if they desire. MagicBands will be available in seven colors (pink, blue, gray, red, yellow, orange, and green) for $12.95 plus tax at the theme parks and Downtown Disney. Cast members will link the guest's tickets to the MagicBand for them. If tickets are already linked to the My Disney Experience account, everything will be transferred to the MagicBand automatically.
Day guests are eligible to set up a My Disney Experience account on the app and website in advance; they previously had to make their reservations on the day of their visit using a kiosk inside the parks. Kiosks will still be available at the theme parks for guests without access to a smartphone.
Touch-to-pay is not available for day guests.
Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel guests will be able to make FastPass+ selections up to 60 days in advance of their trips. Like day guests, they will not receive a MagicBand and are not eligible for touch-to-pay services.
