Remember Disney World's River Country?
by Leah ZanollaDec 18, 2009
Walt Disney World's first waterpark, River Country, debuted in 1976. Due to a myriad of reasons (some of which are unclear to this day) the park closed in 2001. With guests not visiting on a regular basis, Disney World fans have long wondered what has become of the beloved park. A recent post on www.disboards.com has addressed this unsolved mystery and has shed light on the state of this once popular attraction. DISboards member Tri-circle-D has shared many first-hand photos detailing the disarray of the former water park grounds.
