The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Disney CFO Tom Staggs and Walt Disney Parks and Resorts chairman Jay Rasulo are trading places. The article suggests the move is just one step for Staggs on the way to someday becoming president of the Walt Disney Company. Staggs' new role will place him in charge of the company's theme parks, cruise line, and vacation club. Rasulo, who has been with the company for 23 years, will oversee the financial aspects of the organization.

Both Staggs and Rasulo have played keys roles in shaping the company during their current tenures. In addition to executing the deal in which Disney aquired Pixar, Staggs also was instrumental in the acquisition of Marvel Entertainment. Rasulo was involved in the ongoing overhaul of Disney's California Adventure as well as the opening of the company's Hong Kong theme park.
