Small fire in construction area at Magic Kingdom
Apr 26, 2014

A small fire broke out in a construction area at the Magic Kingdom on Friday, April 25. It only lasted about five minutes before being put out by a construction worker, who first tried a bucket of water, then a fire extinguisher and was finally able to get the fire out with a second extinguisher. The fire started from a generator that was behind construction walls between Main Street U.S.A. and the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant, but guests in the area were still able to see it.

The area is currently under construction to expand the Hub and Central Plaza areas near the castle. The expanded area should be completed next year.
