Walt Disney World annual passholders to receive MagicBands

Annual passholders at Walt Disney World can now get their own MagicBands for the MyMagic+ system. The MagicBands have been in a "test and adjust" phase, only available to on-site resort guests. The passholder invite emails will be sent out in stages over the next few weeks and bands will begin shipping in mid-March. Guests use their MagicBands to access hotel rooms, FastPass+ reservations, and charging privileges.

Passholders will have a few different restrictions on their MagicBands than regular guests. They will have seven days of FastPass+ reservations available within any 30-day period. The seven days do not have to be consecutive, but each day's FastPasses must be used in the same park. FastPass selections can be made up to 30 days in advance; Disney hotel guests can book their FastPasses 60 days out. The bands will not have charging privileges attached.

Once the order is placed, it will take about 10 days for the bands to be shipped. With them, passholders will receive an exclusive Passholder MagicSlider decoration, as well as a Passholder discount card.
