Walt Disney World has been named as the "Favorite Theme Park" for the 11th year in the row by the National Amusement Park Historical Association's 2013 survey. The Florida theme park also received second in the "Most Beautiful Park" Category and has held that spot since 2005. First place was Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

The Disneyland Resort earned second place in the "Favorite Theme Park" category. It is their fourth year receiving this honor.

The other park receiving multiple mentions was Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, Pennsylvania, for "Favorite Traditional Amusement Park" and "Best Theme Parks for Families" and "Best Post-Summer Parks;" this last award is shared with Kennywood, also in Pennsylvania. Knoebels' The Phoenix won "Favorite Wood Coaster" and their new Flying Turns ride won "Best New Attraction." The "Favorite Steel Coast" was Millennium Force at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio.

The survey has been conducted for the past 28 years and is the oldest one of its kind in existence.

Marlowe McClasky Futrell, the Survey Coordinator, said, "Throughout its existence, the NAPHA survey has been highly regarded not only to enthusiasts, but to the industry. Many parks feature the results prominently in their marketing and advertising materials."
