Walt Disney World restaurant and chef nominated for James Beard Awards

Walt Disney World's
signature restaurant, Victoria & Albert's
has been nominated for two James Beard Awards. Head Chef Scott Hunnel has been nominated for "Best Chef South" and the restaurant is in the running for an "Outstanding Service" award.
Chef Hunnel said he is honored to be nominated for the award, which is the highest honor for those working in the food and beverage industry. Victoria & Albert's is known for their fresh, seasonal menu and excellent service.
Finalists for the award will be announced March 18; winners will be announced May 6.
The restaurant will also be featured on Emeril Lagasse's new show on the Cooking Channel, "Emeril Florida." Chef Hunnel and Emeril were filmed in the Queen Victoria Room discussing the three dining options at the restaurant. Chef Hunnel also said, "We talk about how we source rare products, both globally and locally. And I show how to make a dish featuring both global and local ingredients: bison and Florida oranges." The segment airs March 10 at 10:00am.
