Walt Disney World sued by deceased monorail driver's mother
by Leah ZanollaJan 25, 2010
The mother of Austin Wuennenberg, the monorail driver killed this summer, is suing Walt Disney World. Christine Wuennenberg's lawyers filed the suit, which says Disney failed to follow monorail-safety procedures. Disney was cited last month by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration for several workplace violations, which may have led to the crash.
There was no comment from Disney on the suit due to ongoing investigation, but Disney spokesman Bryan Malenius did say that the lawsuit "does not diminish our sympathy for the family."
