WestJet debuts Sorcerer Mickey plane
Dec 4, 2013

WestJet debuted a new "Magic Plane" this week that is decorated with Mickey Mouse dressed as Sorcerer Mickey. The aircraft, a Boeing Next-Generation 737-800 series, took a month to custom paint with 36 different colors. WestJet worked with Disney Parks & Resorts to create the design.

Disney didn't miss the opportunity to tell a story with the plane. Sorcerer Mickey is featured on the tail and the rest of the story develops as you move forward. The fuselage and wings are covered by swirling stars, which leads to fireworks over Cinderella Castle.

The outside isn't the only area that's Disney-themed. Inside, the headrest covers are decorated with stars and guests will be given Disney character cookies on each flight.

On December 3, the airplane left Calgary and landed in Orlando, Florida, home of Walt Disney World. The airplane will now travel to all of WestJet's destinations.
