Toy Story Mania! at Disney's California Adventure has been presented with one of the most prestigious awards in the amusement park industry. The Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement for an Attraction is given by the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA). According to the Orange County Register, the award "recognizes excellence in outstanding visitor experiences, attractions, exhibits and places." Attractions are only eligible for the award in their first two years of operation.
Toy Story Mania! opened in summer 2008 at both Disney's California Adventure in Anaheim and Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando.
