Harambe Nights celebration taking place at Disney's Animal Kingdom this summer

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the classic animated film, The Lion King, Disney's Animal Kingdom will host Harambe Nights, a special nighttime event taking place on Saturdays this summer. Guests will first attend a Welcome Reception in Harambe Village with appetizers and African-inspired wine and beer. Afterwards, The Lion King - Concert in the Wild will take place in the newly constructed Harambe Theatre. The show, much like The Festival of the Lion King, will use dancers to tell the story of Simba's journey to the throne. A live orchestra and choir will provide the music and a lineup of celebrity narrators will host the show.

The Harambe Nights Street Party follows the show, with more music, live entertainment and characters. Guests will feast on a buffet of African cuisine and gourmet desserts. Exclusive Lion King merchandise will be available for sale. The evening will end with a special finale.

The Harambe Nights event will be held every Saturday night from June 7-August 9, 2014. The Welcome Reception will start at 7:00pm and the show will begin at 7:30pm. Prices are $119 for adults and $79 for kids ages 3-9, not including tax. Premium floor seats are $134 for adults and $94 for kids ages 3-9, not including tax.
