Victoria & Albert's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is offering a new dining experience to their guests. On February 5, a new dining room, Queen Victoria's Room will open. This is a private dining experience that will allow guests to customize their dishes. Servers will use a French gueridon, which is a rolling cart, to move between tables so guests can personalize their meals.
This new experience is just one example of the kind of service you will find at Victoria & Albert's. Because of this service, the restaurant has been awarded the AAA Five Diamond Award for the 10th year in a row. In 2009, there were only 52 restaurants in the United States to achieve this same status.
According to AAA's ratings guidelines, to achieve Five Diamond status, restaurants must "consistently provide a world-class experience... 'haute cuisine' at its best. Menus are cutting edge, using only the finest ingredients available. Food is prepared in a manner that is highly imaginative and unique... A maitre d' leads an expert service staff that exceeds Guest expectations by attending to every detail in an effortless and unobtrusive manner."
