New pizzeria coming to Epcot's Italy Pavilion
by Leah ZanollaJan 25, 2010
Mexico isn't the only Epcot pavilion getting a new restaurant. A pizzeria will be opening this fall in the Italy Pavilion. The restaurant will have wood-burning ovens and in addition to pizza, serve other authentic Italian dishes. The 300-seat restaurant is already under construction and will be designed to be reminiscent of the architecture in Florence, Italy.
An interesting detail is that special water will be used to make the dough authentically Italian. The water will be imported from a location where it is most similar to the water in Naples, Italy.
An official name hasn't been announced yet, but the restaurant will be run by the Patina Restaurant Group. The Patina Group runs Tutto Italia in Epcot, as well as Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria in Disneyland.
