"Robobama" to make debut at Walt Disney World
by Leah ZanollaMay 26, 2009
Barack Obama will take his place among the other US Presidents at Disney's Hall of Presidents on July 4th.
The attraction has been closed for several months as part of an overall rehab of the attraction. In addition to Obama, other changes to the attraction will include Abraham Lincoln delivering the Gettysburg Address, and George Washington will add his voice to the proceedings.
Disney Imagineers begin working on a new Presidential addition as soon as both major parties nominate their candidate following the Presidential primaries. Somewhere there's a half finished John McCain animatronic.
For Obama, Disney Imagineers reviewed thousands of photographs and video clips to create the sculpture - recreating details right down the President's wedding ring.
