it's a small world anniversary to be celebrated with sing-along videos
Mar 22, 2014

Disney is celebrating the 50th anniversary of their classic attraction, "it's a small world." The attraction originally opened at the 1964 New York World's Fair. Information can be found on the website, which offers ways for the public to interact and help raise money for UNICEF. The attraction was originally intended to be "a salute to UNICEF and all the world's children." Now, guests can go to the website to enter videos of themselves singing the song or to create a virtual Small World doll with customizable faces, clothes and bodies. Disney has donated $150,000 to UNICEF as a tribute to the original attraction and will continue to donate another dollar, up to $100,000, for each video or doll submitted online.

A live sing-along will be held on April 10 at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland and will be aired on Good Morning America. Other Disney parks across the globe will join in on the fun too; their sing-alongs will be recorded and shown during the morning show as well.
