12% drop in attendance at Universal Orlando
by Leah ZanollaMar 20, 2010
Universal Studios Orlando experienced a 12 percent drop in attendance in 2009 from 2008. Attendance for 2009 was tallied at 9.3 million for Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. 2008 saw 10.6 million visitors to the parks.
The end of the year did not have quite as severe a decline as the first quarter of 2009. This is only expected to improve with the opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter this spring.
