Delta to offer wireless during flights

Delta airlines has announced Wi-Fi service for passengers starting in October.

Delta will be the first to offer this service on all 330 domestic planes. Jet Blue currently has Wi-Fi on a single plane which is mostly used for transcontinental flights.

Continental, Virgin and Southwest have also announced plans to offer wireless, with American Airlines starting this service later this year.

Aircell will be Delta's wireless provider. The airline will charge passengers $9.95 for flights under 3 hours and $12.95 for longer flights.
