Disney introduces Mobile Room Ready Notification
by Leah ZanollaJun 22, 2009
Walt Disney World resort guests now have a new option when they arrive to check in and their room isn't ready. Previously, guests would have to check back with the front desk periodically for the status of their room. With the new Mobile Room Ready Notification program, guests will be notified by text message or automated message from the resort when their room is ready for them. After dropping off their luggage and picking up a room key, guests can head off to the parks and will receive a message from the automated system when they will be able to access their room. Because they already have a room key, they are free to head to their room whenever it is convenient for them. Participation in this program is optional and guests may still call the front desk to check on their room's status. The program is expected to begin in Disneyland later this summer.
