Orlando leads nation in falling hotel occupancy

Smith Travel Research, a company that tracks hotel performance nationwide, released a report that showed hotel occupancy in Orlando dropped 26% in the last week of March as compared to the same period last year. That was the largest drop in the 25 nationwide markets surveyed by the organization.

The revenue per available room, a key measure of a hotels financial health, fell 35.4% to $68.15
